As a matter of fact, we’ll be discussing two (2) processes: setting it using the Google Home app or setting it through the Nest Thermostat.

Method 1. Setting the Hold Through the Google Home App

Many people choose convenience, and therefore, they consider this option more than the other.

By doing this method, you wouldn’t be required to go near the thermostat. However, you’ll need to be within the vicinity of the home to be able to set it; you need the Google Home App.

Step #1: Access the Home App

The first step you want to do is to go to the Google Home app on your smartphone or tablet. It’s considered as the central control of the entire thermostat system.

If you aren’t logged in yet, log into the Google Home app using your Google account.

Step #2: Select the Thermostat

Step #1: Access the Nest Thermostat

Once there, access the general interface by pressing [MENU] on the thermostat.

Step #2: Choose Current Temp or Eco

This method is pretty straightforward because you’ll easily be able to see the Hold option there. Select it and then choose Eco or Current Temp.
