You should make sure that your Owlet sock is charged up before re-attempting to pair it over and over again.
A power problem will also cause the device to disconnect or whenever the unit is running dangerously low on battery power.
What you will want to do is plug the sock into the USB cable for around 30 minutes.
This will make sure that the sock has enough power to hold on to the connection with the base station and it won’t disconnect any further.
Additionally, make sure that you’re attaching the USB cable correctly, both into the sock and the power adapter into the power source.
Note: You can also track whether the sock is charging or not, by looking at the same LED.
Solution #3 Reposition Baby’s Crib
Your baby’s crib may be too far away from the base station, causing the sock to often disconnect.
You will have to reposition either the base station around 10-15 meters away from the baby’s crib or the baby’s crib itself.
Either way, you will have to position these two at least 10 meters away from each other.
You can go beyond 10 meters, but the WiFi may become significantly slower and the live updates in the Owlet app may also fall behind.
Note: Don’t put the base station in reach of the baby’s crib to avoid having your child damage it accidentally.
