Like all electronic devices, the Geeni Camera requires a stable power source to work.
The first troubleshooting step is to check all the devices and cables are plugged in correctly and not damaged.
Although it seems like an obvious solution, many users have reported that doing this method fixed their camera recording issue.
Start by visually inspecting the USB cables and power adaptors to make sure they are plugged in and not damaged.

To check if there is a stable internet connection we recommend first checking if you are able to live-stream through your mobile device.
Try using both the WiFi connection and mobile data.
If this is unsuccessful you can try these common troubleshooting methods to check if the internet connection improves:

Using both an SD card and cloud-based internet recording is recommended to ensure the recordings are fully backed up.
If you find you are unable to record onto the SD Card there may be a bug causing the problem.
The best way to fix this is to reformat the SD card. You can reformat the SD Card easily using the Geeni App and following these steps:
- Open the Geeni App on the main devices select the device
- Press the three dotted lines in the top right-hand corner
- Scroll down and click on format SD Card.

To check this issue first start by removing the SD Card and using an electronics air compressor to blast any debris from the camera port.
Once the port is cleared of debris visually inspect the port and the SD Card for damage.
If the SD card appears damaged try a different SD Card to see if it works.
