There may be an occasion or two where you will need to turn off your Ring Alarms siren manually, and this begs the question, “how to turn off ring alarm siren?”
Both the volume and the length can be changed.
Other sirens you may have, such as the Ring Alarm Base Station, Keypad, or Domed Siren, will not be affected by these adjustments.
You’ll have to access the Ring app on your smartphone and click “disarm” to shut off the Ring’s siren. The siren should stop ringing then after. An intruder will be unable to disable the siren in the instance of a break-in.
The Ring Doorbell is well-known and well-publicized as an excellent solution for home protection and for reducing crime throughout neighborhoods.
We’ll look at a few different ways to switch off the ring alarm siren in this article.
Reasons Why your Ring Alarm Siren Might Be Going Of?
When establishing the Ring Alarm system, it’s critical to follow the instructions carefully and place sensors and cameras with accuracy and foresight.
If your Ring Alarm keeps going off, hopefully, you’ll find some solutions below to solve the problem.
The Ring Alarm can be triggered by a variety of factors, including:
- A slight movement in motion zones with high sensitivity
- Sensors that have been put incorrectly
- Motion detectors are triggered by sunlight, dogs, or settling.
How to Turn Off Ring Alarm Siren – Easy Steps
Method #1 Alarm/Disarm The Alarm Manually
Here are some things to keep in mind. Ring Alarm provides three levels of security. Away keeps track of all of your sensors.
When you’ll be away from homes, such as for business or vacation, you should use this.
Only your perimeter sensors are monitored by Home. When you’re at home and not going out, you should use this. Like unwinding after a long day at work or retiring to bed.
No sensors are monitored by Disarmed. If you frequently enter and exit your home, you should utilize this. Switching between the home or away modes will arm your alarm system.
To use the keypad to arm your device, follow these steps:
- Enter the four-digit passcode you were given.
- Then, just on the home or away buttons, press them.
To deactivate your device, do the following:
- Enter the four-digit access code you would have been given.
- Then press the disarmed button.
The Ring app also allows you to arm and disarm the device.
Method #2 Disable the Alarm via the Ring App
Turning off the Alarm is a fairly simple process that requires only 2 basic steps that can be done from the comfort of your own sofa.
To shut off the siren, follow these steps:
- To begin, launch the app.
- Disarm should be tapped.
Switch your Alarm back to professional monitoring when the test is finished.
If you blast the siren during Home or Away Mode, switching to Disarmed mode would disable the equipment and mute the siren.
Method #3 Contact Ring Support
Fortunately, there are only a couple of ways how to turn off Ring Alarm Siren, which means if the above steps haven’t helped there may be an issue with the Ring device.
To determine if this is the case we advise that you reach out to Rings customer support team for further troubleshooting steps and seek further advice.
Set up your Siren using the Ring App
It’s quite easy to set up your Spotlight Cam Siren in the Ring App. For a step-by-step guide, read down.
Step 1: Choose Set Up a Device.
By pressing the three parallel lines in the top left-hand corner of the screen, you can access the side menu.
- “Set Up a Device” will appear, select it.
- Select “Security Devices” from the drop-down menu.
- Select “Sirens” from the drop-down menu.
- “Dome Siren” and “Ready” are the two options.
Step 2: Remove the Dome Siren’s back cover.
By turning the back cover of the Siren into an unlocked state and prying the cover off the siren, you can open it.
Click “Next” on the application once the cover has been removed.
Step 3: Take Out the Transparent Tab on the Rear of the Siren.
One of the batteries has a battery tab at the end that needs to be removed. This activates the siren.
When you press the “Add” option, your Alarm Base Station should reliably identify the Siren.
Note: This tab in the middle of the batteries should not be removed. "Remove before use" is written in very small letters on the correct tab.
If the alarm does not pair properly the first time, try again. Begin by following the instructions provided in the application.
To finish this procedure, simply eliminate and reinsert your battery when it’s necessary to pull the battery connector.
Step 4: Change the Name of your Siren
You will hit the “Done” button once your Siren has been added to the system.
The Configuration Management screen will appear next.
- Click the “Done” button if you don’t want to make any changes.
- Touch the Siren to add it to a space or to alter its name to something else.
- You may modify the siren by tapping Name and Room on the Device Profile screen.
- Choose “Name,” then “Save” after giving the Siren your own name.
- Press “Room” to choose which room this Spotlight Cam Siren will be in, then tap “Save” in the upper right corner.
Note: By selecting the "Add Room" button, you can choose a space from the list or create your own space title.
Choose the back button to return to the Configuration Management screen after you’ve completed configuring the Siren, and then press “Done.”
