Solution#1 Re-Enable Event Recording

Sometimes the Wyze app experiences glitches and don’t properly implement the settings to connected devices.

There may be a chance that the Event Recording is disabled for the camera or may not be set up properly.

Turning OFF and ON the Event Recordings will refresh the services!

Here is how you can reenable Event Recording for the Wyze camera:

1. Open the Wyze App.
2. Tap on your Wyze camera.
3. Select the Settings gear icon from the top right corner.
4. Press on Event Recording.
5. Tap on the Detect Motion toggle button.
6. Enable Sound Detection.

5. Drag the slider to set the Detection Distance to Medium.

You can also adjust both settings to High / Far, but then your Wyze camera will start to detect every movement whether it is the pets, light, tress movement, etc.

So, adjust according to your requirements but always keep in mind that too high sensitivity is not recommended.

Solution #3 Reset Recording Schedule!

Wyze cameras record the entire day or in a specific time span, predetermined in the application by the user.

Sometimes the Wyze camera record 12 seconds of event footage, and takes a 5-minute break for a cooldown.

This is the default cooldown period, unfortunately, a higher cooldown period means more chances of events missing during this window.

Solution: Set your Wyze cam Cooldown Period to 1 min!

Here is how you can alter the recording cooldown period:

1. Open the Wyze App.
2. Navigate to your camera Settings.
3. Tap on Event Recording.
4. Click on Recording Cooldown.
5. Set to 1 min.

After setting up, your Wyze camera will take only 1 min cooldown break after every event recording, which is the minimum you can use.
