What to do when Disney Plus not opening on iPad?

Solution #1: Manage The Data Settings
Is the Disney Plus app not opening on iPad? Perhaps you don’t have any Wi-Fi access, but your 4G/5G is working fine.
However, the data access for the Disney Plus app might be blocked on your phone’s settings.
So do the following:
- Open the iPad’s Settings.
- Locate “Cellular.”
- Locate the Disney Plus app.
- Turn cellular data “On” for the app.
The opposite could be necessary when you have Wi-Fi access, but the app keeps crashing.
That would happen because the app is trying to use cellular data, but you are in a limited coverage area.
Then, simply turn cellular data off for the app.
Tip: Sometimes, you need to disable “Mobile Data” entirely. That will prevent any app from using it when Wi-Fi is available. Then, activate it again when Wi-Fi is no longer in range.
Solution #2: Check The Network Settings

- Choose “Manual configuration.”
- Type these as primary and secondary: 22.214.171.124 / 126.96.36.199.
The DNS addressed above are standard, trustworthy ones. However, if your DNS is already set for those addresses, you must check your VPN.
Check The VPN
Perhaps you are using your VPN to navigate through sites and apps that would be usually blocked in your region.
That can backfire by not allowing you to access Disney Plus.
The service’s servers might interpret your IP address as malicious or non-American.
- Open your VPN app.
- Check the IP address’ geolocation settings.
- Deactivate the VPN temporarily.
- Set the IP geolocation inside the USA.
Once you do one of the two options, you must check if the Disney Plus works as intended.
Solution #4: Reinstall The App
Unfortunately, iOS prevents you from clearing the app’s cache data to eliminate corrupted files.
Thus, you will need to reinstall the app when you want to eliminate possible glitches.

If you only click “Remove from the home screen,” the app will remain installed and cause issues.

Error Code 73
The error code 73 might also pop up, indicating you want to access content unavailable in your coverage area.
That will happen when you open the app in a place where Disney Plus is not officially supported.
Or it can happen if your VPN is hiding or making your location show up as an unsupported area.
Here are some solutions:
- If you are at an unsupported location, use a VPN provider and set it up so the location provided is identified as inside a supported country, and such info is visible.
- If you already use a VPN, check your settings and allow a location to be provided to the Disney Plus servers.
- If you are not using a VPN but are inside a supported country, restart your router or your mobile data. They might be generating incorrect location data.
Error Code 83
This error code indicates an incompatibility between your device and the app.
