  1. Press the “☰” on your Guide remote control.
  2. Select “WiFi” and confirm your WiFi connection.
  3. If your device is not connected, pick a network from the list.
  4. Insert the WiFi password for your home network.

3. Solve Networking Issues!

solve networking issues

If there’s a problem with your network or equipment, your Peloton device may be repeatedly disconnected from the WiFi and say “network unavailable”.

This problem may also occur if your Peloton device is connected via Ethernet to the router and the modem stops working.

Effective Tips to Troubleshoot a Network?

✅ Reboot the router, by unplugging the device’s power adapter for up to 5 minutes, and waiting patiently for a full discharge and power cycle.

✅ Reconnect the service cable from the back of your router since the service cable connects to the modem and then to the router.

✅ Stop using your network excessively, by unpairing device you’re not actively using, ceasing downloading/uploading, and reducing your multi-thread use.

Note: If you’re experiencing connectivity issues on other devices, the problem may be on the ISP’s end so ensure that your internet is intact before proceeding!

4. Reposition the Peloton Device!

If your fitness appliance is too far away from the network router and modem, even if it stays connected, the signal remains weak and could disband anytime you’re using the Peloton.

  • The Peloton device must be in at least a 15-20 meter radius from the router!

Minimum Recommended Speed:

Peloton recommends having at least a 15 Mbps download speed to use your product effectively.

Any speed below that could interrupt the device from working properly and displaying your workout without cuts. The speed is based on the WiFi thread of your Peloton product.

Peloton Difference 2.4 GHz Vs 5 GHz:

Since all Peloton devices are compatible with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, there could be a little misunderstanding as to how threads work with Peloton.

Using a 5 GHz thread with your Peloton product means that the device must be as close to the router as possible.

Note: On 2.4GHz, you don’t have to worry about the signal becoming too weak due to the great distance.

A standard 2.4GHz thread’s connection can last for up to 50 meters and beyond.

5. Check the HDMI Connection!

If you’re seeing “network unavailable” on your Peloton Guide device, this may be because the HDMI connection with the TV is loose.

To stream, the guide device must be connected to a TV and then you will be able to view the workout broadcasts.
