This is important because the Alexa app may be unable to access your location, which is why you are unable to set up on Alexa.
Here is how to check for the device and Alexa app location permission:
For Android Devices:
- Navigate to your device Settings.

Tip: In case the changes don't solve the issue instantly, reboot your device!
2. Power Cycle Alexa & Device!
One quick and effective solution is to restart your Alexa device.
Maybe the location access in your mobile device is having issues, or simply the Echo speaker is currently glitched, which is why rebooting both instances is the best next step!
Here is how to restart the Alexa (Echo) device:
- Turn OFF the location from your mobile.
- Wait for a second and turn the location back on.
- Next, locate the Alexa Echo power adapter.
- Unplug the adapter from the power outlet.

- Check if Alexa’s device location is working.
If your Alexa location is still not responding, move on to try the other ways!
